Quinn normally avoided her family, preferring the company of the characters in her comic books (though life in the house was usually just as exciting as that of any masked man in tights). Yet, the sight of her older brother sitting on the floor covered in the tape from a cassette was too amusing not to comment on. The boy looked like he was trying to make himself into a retro mummy, which come to think of it would make a great Halloween costume. She could actually see her father encouraging that one. Its kinda funny,I haven't seen most of the artwork people are citing as my supposed inspiration.
Inspiration for me usually works like this-
when I am prepping to make a piece (lets say im prepping to make another piece in the connected attached series) I hit anatomy books, deviantart, abduzeedo, google images, and about 3 other inspirational websites and collect somewhere between 60-150 images of nice poses of women, good mech designs, good backgound examples, neat machinery etc
everything starts with reference, inspiration from a neat gear here, a cool effect there. but eve
