We can breathe underwater

I am excited.
I mean I actually am not that much but my two-legged is, fidgeting around with my tack, walking up and down and that makes me nervous, too.
I raise my head a little higher and breathe in deeply. I quite like it here, on that huge grassy field, right next to the huge lake and around us so many mountains.
I've never seen mountains before since back home everything's pretty flat.
Suddenly my two-legged tenses up and adjusts the reins.
I stopp and prick my ears.
I know this already, we've done this before.
Now things were going to be serious.
Now it counts.
No mistakes.
She cues me towards a tunnel-like thing right next to the lake and we were underground.
Where are we going?
I don't like being underground. I hope she knows where we're going.
Then blue-ish lights blind us for a second and when we can see again we hesitate in awe.
The arena looks amazing, everything bathed in a mesmerising blue, lights dance over the white sandy surface and not until then do we notice that we are in fact underwater.
That makes me feel better.
It's not as scary anymore.
Slowly we walk towards the middle of the arena and stopp there.
Everything is silent, so silent you can hear a needle fall.
I feel the reins shorten a little, feel the steady, gentle connection between her hand and my muzzle.
Then the first notes of the music echo through the surreal atmosphere.
And it begins.
