The looking glass was one of grandeur that demanded attention, its ornate golden trim gleaming through its hazy surroundings. However, the beautiful exterior could not hide the spine-chilling aura emanating from its presence. A pained voice could be heard ever so faintly from the direction of the mirror. An eerily reminiscent quality filtered through the utterances, grabbing the attention of the pure white deer. Ears flicked forward, straining to make out the fervently strung words. Nothing: only a jumbled mess. Whether it was simple curiosity or yearning to understand this feeling of familiarity, the Stygian inched closer. Teal eyes remained on the mirror that beckoned them forth. Without knowing it, as if in a trance, they began to ascend the marble steps. "I don't.." the voice trembled in their head.

Stygian Shade, Figment Quest, Step Four. shadow weaving. A murky fog was slowly laying claim to the newly formed kingdom. The thick mist was laden with whispers of inevitable ruin as it touched the living creatures. Its touch was not gentle and instead weighed heavily, coercing the breath from the living until there was no breath left to take. The white fawn was awoken from their slumber when a bitter cold swept across their fur: a sign of the sinister being that lurked in the depths of the realm. As soon as their consciousness returned from its adventures, they knew something was off. The kingdom was unsteady. No, rather, it was dying. The growing figment could feel the cries of the fauna and flora. No. No more suffering, no more death... The inhabitants of this kingdom were on their protection. They forbid such events from conspiring under their watch. Their fur bristled as their energy connected with their realms. The connection was growing faint; if they didn't act

The little white fawn did. Although its form began to stabilize with each passing day, they still felt invisible. The world turned away from their presence, though it was unknown whether this was deliberate or their eyes not wanting to see past their own noses. An emotion that previously didn’t have a name was now screaming it loud and clear: loneliness. It was an unfamiliar name, an unpleasant emotion, but also held the weight of familiarity. Originally, the fawn’s teal eyes had been wide-eyed with hope; hope that they could cure the crushing gravity associated with this newfound emotion. Days turned to night and night into day.
