This is a piece done for an Alice in Wonderland contest at the [link] forums, in which you were supposed to do a new take on one of the Alice stories. For some reason I decided to put the Queen of Hearts scene in a circus tent.

The circus scene works surprisingly well with the Wonderland tale. I can only assume that the Cheshire cat is the purple guy hanging above draped in curtains, and that detail alone makes this piece really nifty!

wow, the shadows and colors are fantastic, and each expression shows well what is thinking everyone. unless they are good actors...though it wouldn't surprise me if it were so, after all this is a great circus

It's grotesque (not bad), but I like it. I like the staging and the angle and how even though there's so much happening, it's very clear which pair the spotlight is on.
