Lightning Storm

Tip If you have an SLR (I don't know what type of camera you use) set to an iso of 100, set the aperture to 8 or 11, put the shutter speed at bulb, and hold down the button for a count of 5-10 (if you're in the city or pointing your camera at it or if there are any street lights around you). Then take a look if you're using digital and see whether or not your photo is red if it's a mix of black and dark red don't hold the button down for any longer than what you just did (an extra count of 1 probally won't make a difference) if it's a little bright or it's a lighter red then you've held it down too long. Just adjust your count and keep snapping in the direction the lightning is coming from it gets really tedious but it's worth it, and don't worry about the amount of pictures you're snapping as long as your memory card holds out, and of course BE CAREFUL!!!! I have litteraly come about 3-4 inches from death due to flying debris during a storm. Well I hope that helps you have a nice day God bless
