As you know from my unpopular opinions list, I have a thing against circuses. However, there are a few things that are exceptions (like Dumbo) and certain clowns that I enjoy for their entertainment value are some of them. Also, if you expect one certain clown in the list, keep in mind that these are my opinions and no, she is not in this and never will be. Sorry to disappoint you for any who hoped, but I have a stance against that show she's in (plus I honestly don't like her). So anyway, here's the list and please respect my opinion and my choice, so anyway, here we go:
10. Binky the Clown (Garfield): Binky is one of those clowns who does what he loves because he loves to entertain. Despite Garfield's constant annoyance, he does provide some great humor.
9. Jangles the Clown the Nightmare Form (Inside Out): Though only briefly appearing, Jangles left an impressionable impact. Scary as he is in the nightmare form, he did technically help Joy, Sadness, & Bing-Bong get the train of thought reactivated, though it technically causes Riley to wake up and get the idea of running back home to her previous home.
8. Randy the Killer Clown (A Story, 1987 short): I have seen this short multiple times and let me tell you, this clown knew what he was doing. Though the short was short, I think Randy was the highlight of the short itself. Plus he did get away with what he did in the short.
7. Jojo (Jojo's Bizarre Circus): This is one of the few clowns who is also helping me in my mental state (though a top 30ish kind of show I like to relax to). Jojo, despite her a kid, does try to be helpful at times and she's a cute protagonist.
6. Fizzarolli (Helluva Boss): After the most recent Helluva Boss episode, I can safely say I fully love Fizz now. He's awesome, had to survive what he had to go through, and gave us a great song to tell off Mammon (and it's my song I like to use for whenever I want to vent off my frustrations). And best of all, he has the most healthy relationship when he's with Asmodeus (despite what other people think).
5. Ronald McDonald (McDonalds): I grew up in this era and I think he was one of the reasons why I try to get through my fear of clowns. Jolly and kind, Ronald is always there, plus I love the animated adventures he's in.
4. Pennywise the Clown (IT 1980s version): Though a really scary creature and shapeshifting entity, Pennywise is one of the most iconic clowns out there to really put kids to deep nightmares. However, not to me as I like this kind of thing for some reason. I mean scary clowns to me don't traumatize me as much as most circus clowns.
3. Krusty the Clown (Simpsons): Krusty was always hilarious for a run down TV Show clown. And while he's usually cranky and bitter, he still does what he does and his episodes are hilarious and entertaining. Plus we do see some flaws on Krusty, but that's what makes him fun.
2. The Joker (DCAU Version): Honestly, The Joker is one of the most evil baddies out there in the Batman series and he's also very entertaining. And I feel that despite me liking most incarnations, I like this incarnation the most as Mark Hamill does a fantastic job on the sadistic Gotham baddie. And that can never change.
1. Dropsy (Dropsy): Now this is a clown who cares. Though an outcast to society while being framed for killing his adopted mom through a fire, Dropsy still has his ideals and would try to help people in need, no matter how sad and depressing they are. Dropsy to me is one of the reasons why I'm slowly trying to get over my fear of real clowns. Though he may look scary, deep down inside, he shows he tries to do what's right.
