Description
This is Mochi! A fluffy, primarily arboreal species of dragon that I created for personal use for now. He’s called a plush dragon and they are incredibly tactile creatures, requiring almost constant physical contact and comfort from one another or they tend to become skittish and fearful. They live in groups and spend a majority of their time cuddling and napping together. They have been known to attach themselves to whatever creature to offer them affection in the absence of their own kind. It’s rare to see one on its own like this.
This is very well done, a captivating image.
I’ve never seen a dragon that gives such strong simian vibes, looking particularly vulnerable and along as it clings to the tree. The look of those eyes at the viewer, the position that is neither cowering nor defensive, but rather a resignation that whatever the viewer may do is going to happen and they have no choice or control over it. There appears to be a bigger problem or concern in those eyes, their entire demeanor appears to be one of no hope. Then to learn these are social creatures who are rarely seen without another of their species? That really makes one want to learn more about these creatures, their behavior and interactions, and their world.
(I have an OC that would completely melt over seeing such a despondent creature and would timidly reach out to offer assurance that it would be ok. Unfortunately, he lives in the Arctic and can’t survive for long in warm temperatures so it’s highly unlikely he would ever run across this one or any other Mochi.)
