Frankie was laying by the river her ears down, She had seen some felines in camp today chatting happily and it remind her of her old family, Since she'd joined ice she hadn't made many friends and seeing that had reminded her of how alone she was, She had felt envy towards them and stormed out of camp, Now she moping by the river watching the fish pass, She didn't feel happy doing this anymore since it once again reminded her of her old life, She hissed angrily and smacked the water were the fish were, It didn't hit any which just made her more upset, She couldn't even catch a stupid fish, She layed down facing the river putting her face in her paws
There were many things Chara had began to enjoy again since coming back to her Empire. Taking walks alone was one of them. Before being captured, she tried to avoid being alone usually taking at least one other feline. She would still go on walks alone to clear her head, but it was very often. But when she got home, she found that she needed more and more time to herself. Just thinking. Her thoughts were broken when she heard a splash. Walking slowly towards the river, she saw a small feline. An apprentice, Frankie, Chara remembered. She walked up behind the young apprentice, "Are you alright, Frankie?" She questioned softly.
Frankie jumped at the sound of a voice, She put on a calm face and turned to the cat who talked, It was her leader Chara about the worst cat to find her like this, she couldn't be a mess in front of her leader but she felt her face grow hot as she tried to speak her mouth was dry, "Y-Yeah I'm fine" She managed to stutter out at the large feline, Trying to keep her feelings under control was hard she unconsciously was looking away
Chara gave the nervous young apprentice a gentle smile. She sat down next to the smaller feline, "You don't need to be nervous." The Leader said warmly. "And it's okay if you're not fine. I understand what it's like to be frustrated. So tell me, Frankie, what has got you upset?" She asked gently.
Frankie saw Chara sit down and knew she had seen right through her words, Which just made her more upset as she reminded her of her mother, She sat down looking away her tail slowly swaying behind her, She opened her mouth to speak but her throat had tightened, She swallowed "I... I miss my family" she manged to say and could feel tears threatening to spill out
The slim lioness frowned softly at the young apprentice. “I see,” she muttered, looking down at her paws. “I miss my mom.” She then said after a few moments. “I miss her with all my heart. But I know she’s never gone. She’s always in my heart. And I have my family here in the empire. It’s okay to miss your family, but know they are always in your heart and you have cats who love you here as well.”
Frankie heard Chara say that she missed her mother too but she had family in the empire. She laid down her tail still swaying. "But even if I know they aren't gone it still won't fill the hole they left. I can't stop thinking about them. I remember my mother curled around me and my siblings. I'll never feel their warmth again" she said looking over at the river
Chara smiled gently at the small feline. "Don't worry, sweet bug, you have family here." She declared. "And if its warmth that you seek, and that you miss you are always welcome into my den. I'm sure my children would love another sibling." The motherly lioness offered
Frankie perked her ears at Chara's words. She had a family here another sibling? Was she offering to adopt her? Maybe she could have a family with Chara like before. She seemed to have a big family. She just had to make sure to never leave them like the last one. She layed her head on Charas chest "How big is your family?" She asked
Chara chuckled at the question. "My family? It is rather large. I have many children. And I'm about to welcome more to the family." She explained, nodding her head, feeling the unborn cubs kicking gently in her belly. "You would far well with them. That is, if you wish to join my family?" She asked.(edited)
Frankie looked at Charas belly. There were cubs in there? How did that work? She would have to leave those unanswered for now because Chara asked her a important question. She considered it for a moment "Sure. I would love to" She said smiling
Chara smiled at the apprentice, and nodded her head. "I'm glad to hear." She said, and got to her paws. "Come along, my dear Frankie, we should get back to camp."
Frankie smiled at her and got up. She followed her. Her tail high now. She was rather happy now. She was glad Chara talked to her.
