Just a little bite

Cal was helping clean up the theater with his friends. They had finished a while ago. The curtains drawn and they needed help cleaning up. Cal was happy to help and the spooky crew tagged along. He had enjoyed getting to know his new friends. He had already met Brook before a few times but never spent this much time with them. It was a lotta fun hanging out with them. He wondered about the place Mono lived. The forgotten district.. He'd never heard about it properly but it sounded like such a fun place! He had to explore some time. He liked being around Ori. They were similar in certain ways. Dess was so fun though he wished he had her bubblyness.

While he was lost in thought he wasn't thinking about were his ears were. He had recently woken up with very sharp ones. While he was moving around a fake tree trunk he heard something rip and he felt his ears hit something. Uh oh I- His thought was cut off as he felt something clamp down hardly on his ears. He yelped and dropped the fake tree trunk breaking it. He felt the pressure fall away but he felt his ear throbbing. He turned to see what had bit him. He saw Monos face. Which was surprising since it was always covered. He realized what he had ripped. Monos face covered. He also realized Mono bit him.  That stung a bit both emotionally and literally.

"I-I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you? I'm so sorry" He heard Mono say remorsefully seeming extremely stressed. He was looking around nervously for something.. To cover his face? But why would he want to cover his eyes? He'd never seen eyes so blue like that. He liked that. He felt were his ear was bit. It was barely bleeding it would heal quickly right? "It's alright Mono. I shouldn't have torn your bag. I'm sorry about that" Cal said calmly. It was such a small wound and he didn't think Mono really meant to hurt him properly. He saw Dess come over with a fake monster head that had been lying around that was made out of paper "Here Mono! You can borrow this until we get you a new bag" She said handing the head over. Cal's ear still stung a bit perhaps he should get a bandaid for it from his room. It's a good thing Mono didn't bite into one of his barbs that would not have been good.

They were almost done with cleaning up anyways. This was the first time he'd had a 'fight' with someone. He's pretty sure he lost. "Don't worry about the bite Mono it'll heal in no time. I should get a bandaid for this. I'll see you guys tomorrow" He smiled looking forward to whatever they'd do tomorrow. It was just a little bite right? Folk healed so quickly he didn't wanna worry anyone certainly not Mono. He headed towards his room excited for what would come tomorrow
