Being (both) a fan of the novel and a Hindu living in India, I must point out that any work on this theme is likely to bring out reactions as the characters are based on deities which are still worshipped and held sacred. You no doubt have realised you are walking a tightrope.

However, on the other hands, for fans of Zelazny's world like me, any effort to visually depict his writing is much appreciated.
