1 - No more echo fighters?
By what Masahiro Sakurai said, all characters are being developed from scratch, it means it's impossible that one of all DLCs would be an Echo Fighter. If you're still expecting any echo fighter, I'm sorry, but there is no more chance for them now same they are accurate for Smash. If a character has same movesets but the appearance is different, it has more chance to be an alternative costume like Alph (Olimar), Dark Link (Link), Inkling Boy (Inkling).
2 - More 3rd Party Fighters than Nintendo fighters?
If you played Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/WiiU, you'll notice that a 3rd Party character has just one stage from it's own franchise per platform. So, there is possibility that at least one of all 5 DLCs can be a 3rd Party fighter instead of Nintendo fighter. But sometimes DLC stages might be an unrevealed returning stage from Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee that had rosters that all playable fighters are exclusiviely from Nintendo Franchises, mainly because Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is more focused to Nintendo fighters.
3 - Is it possible more Assist Trophies turn into playable fighters?
Not all Assist Trophies are available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, it looks like some Assist Trophies still have opportunity to join the game as playable fighters. In this moment we have 3 characters that were available as Assist Trophies and then they turned into new playable fighters, Little Mac, Dark Samus and Isabelle. And definitely, Sakurai won't add Assist Trophies anymore since he is now working on secondary content (Paid content)
4 - Manga Characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
By what Masahiro Sakurai said in a interview, he definitely said that manga characters are invalid to join Super Smash Bros. series. The objective of the game is to bring characters that made Nintendo history, and they must to be originally from video games. Funimation really requested Goku to be available in Super Smash Bros, it looks like that they lost their hope after hearing it from Sakurai. And one more thing to say, Movie and Cartoon characters are forbidden to join Smash too.
5 - Can Indie Characters join the battle?
Sakurai said that he played so many indie games, and we can notice in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that some indie characters are in the game same that they are Assist Trophies or Spirits like Shovel Knight (Assist Trophy) and Shantae (Spirit), but there are some iconic indie characters that weren't deconfirmed yet.
6 - If a character is already in another ongoing crossover fighting game, it'll ruin the chance of this character to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Well, It doesn't look like to be a problem, a character can appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate same if it's already in another ongoing fighting game, for example: Shovel Knight is available in Brawlhalla but he appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate same he is an Assist Trophy. It means that's possible that a character that appeared already in a ongoing crossover fighting game might appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate too.
7 - Smash Ballot for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
Well, if you saw one of Sakurai's latest tweets, he said that all characters were decided by Nintendo and himself to be DLCs for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It means that you won't have chance to request one of your favorite characters this time. And also, Sakurai was disappointed with the results that he got from fans. In Smash Ballot, the rules were:
1 - The character should belong the popular franchise
2 - The franchise should have at least 1 game in any of Nintendo consoles
3 - The franchise should be originally a video game franchise
Majority of people that voted for your favorite characters didn't know how Smash Ballot really works, It's pretty sure that Shrek is the character that had more votes than another characters, but due Shrek is an invalid character to join Smash, the winner of Smash Ballot was Bayonetta by being the most voted and valid character in the World to join Super Smash Bros for 3DS/WiiU and she was announced as the winner in December 15th 2015 and was planned to be released as DLC in February 2016 with Umbra Clock Tower as stage for Bayonetta.
8 - When are they going to be revealed?
By what was shown in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's latest Direct, all DLCs will be released through the end of February 2020, it's better not to expect new SSBU info until February 2020, be patient and everything will be okay.
That's what I have to say, and also, Did you have a character that you expected to see before seing this journal? Give a comment.
AND ONE MORE THING VERY IMPORTANT! DON'T ASK SAKURAI TO ADD CHARACTERS IN SMASH SAME IF THEY'RE ACCURATE TO JOIN IN IT, WHO DECIDES WHICH CHARACTERS WILL BE IN SMASH IS MASAHIRO SAKURAI, NOT YOU. PLEASE, BE SATISFIED WHAT YOU RECEIVED OR YOU'LL GONNA BREAK SAKURAI'S FEELINGS.
