The Disney Legend Award is the highest honour that is handed out by Disney to their employees and associates. Each new class of recipients are honoured in a ceremony at the D23 Expo. Each legend has in theory made a distinct contribution to Disney’s history and legacy, coming from diverse backgrounds and outstanding careers. The award itself was sculpted by Andrea Favilli, depicting Mickey Mouse’s hand clutching a star-tipped magic wand.
