For these pictures, temporary model scenes with rolling stock and structures were arranged on a small base board with some ballasted tracks. After having photographed the scenes in front of a clear background, the photos were transformed into a silhouetted picture and blended with a matching background, which was added as a separate layer. For the background pictures were made from real photos. Sometimes, cutouts from different photos were combined into a new picture. Colour and perspective were modified in a way the final picture would perfectly blend into the model scene.
