Crow Shine

You left for journeys impossible to find
On the brink of edges, where the crows shine

That barren land, that desolate waste
To which with grimness you shall haste
Where dreams are blank and nightmares long
And the moon wails an empty song
Where heroes have risen and civilazations gone
And black skies greet a sighing dawn
And you, the knight with the saddest face
Who only fragile promises will taste

In that darkness which shines the crows
I hear you praying, eyes aglow


My melancholy character Rune. It's fun to draw him at night when his eyes are the most light-emitting. >D The birds have been interesting, too, since I always need to google up some reference photos. (The great thing is there are a ton of different types of birds to play with...) Sketched with pencil, scanned, colored in Painter with some Photoshop.
