Before I'm about to go jogging, I always dread it. Something in me just never wants to go... especially in the dead of winter, when it's cold, pouring down rain, and my blanket and cup of coffee feel so welcoming. We do the same thing in life when a challenge arises. God tells us to face something painful in our life and we look out the window and just see dark, uninviting clouds of the coming battle. We turn and see our cozy place of safety and one voice in your head says "stay, why get wet?"... but the other voice whispers "Go. The reward is worth a little discomfort." You look out the window again and see a glimpse the truth in those words

"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst." – Henri Cartier-Bresson This quote really struck me when I read it the other day. It's so true that "your first 10,000 photographs are your worst". While browsing photos from last year or even last month, my thoughts are always, "wow, I can't believe how much I've improved". And isn't that true with anything you do? Whether it be, exercising or sport, painting, playing an instrument, or even marriage and deep friendships, you only improve when you're determined to.
