Today I went to the "James Gardens" in the GTA to try shooting some wildlife/nature since the weather is nice. I made several classic mistakes however that I shall describe below.
1. I wore a baseball cap. Every time I took a shot in portrait the camera almost knocked my hat off.
2. I forgot to lower the ISO setting so it was on 1600 the whole time and left me wondering why 1/4000 shutter speed shots were overexposed.
3. I didn't bring my telephoto lens. I didn't expect to see much wildlife so i figured the 18-55mm would be fine. Every time I couldn't zoom in enough to get a shot of a bird i wanted i regretted not having it with me :p.
