Kit || Ashkit was born with their siblings, Charcoalkit and Coalkit, who were twins, which is why they had such similar names. Unfortunately when they were born, their mother passed, which earned Ash her name. She and her siblings all got along extremely well, and they were nursed by a different queen who took on the role of their mother-figure. As they grew Ash's playing got a little rough, so the twins would often play with the other kits instead. Ash didn't really take notice of it or care too much, she had other kits to play with anyway.
As the day they would become apprentices approached, Ash had grown extremely curious of the outside world, and despite her mothers warnings she would often try to sneak out. These attempts never worked, and eventually she gave up and waited for her and her siblings ceremonies.
Apprentice || Ashpaw and her siblings became proud apprentices together, and her mentor became Morningdove. She didn't seem all too excited, thinking they were a bit too sweet and nice for their liking, but there wasn't much they could do. For the short time they trained under Morningdove, they tried to be as annoying as they could, but soon Morningdove vanished and was presumed dead. Ashpaw felt a little bad, but got over it quickly when her new mentor was Tuftstar. When it was announced that he'd train her she lit up instantly. Despite being a rule breaker, having the leader as her mentor didn't worry her at all.
Things were going well for Ashpaw, she began to make friends with some of the apprentices over time. Around the time she made some of her first friends, the Rushclan medicine cat was called out for being mates with a Duskclan she-cat, and even having kits with her. Ashpaw, being a rule breaker, wasn't too angry or effected by the situation. However, the way the medicine cat left without a word to his own kit that he brought to their camp made Ashpaw livid.
More time passed, and eventually a fire broke out in the Rushclan camp. No one knew where it came from or how it started, but everyone had to get out and escape to a barn in the territory. Ashpaw, along with a few other apprentices, were trapped in the apprentice den by a burning branch. Ashpaw got a few burn scars from the ordeal, but eventually some warriors could get them out. Ashpaw wouldn't tell anyone, but the experience left her more than a little shaken.
Warrior || Not long after everyone moved to the barn, Ashpaw and her siblings became warriors. Ashpaw became Ashrunner, for her speed and agility. She was proud to be a warrior now, able to go wherever she wanted when she wanted to.
