November Birthday

And now, for characters celebrating their birthdays in November…

Debuting in the Super Mario World game, launched in November 21, 1990, and designed by Shigefumi Hino, this Nintendo dino-guy was created as a companion for the company’s super plumber mascot. The new character proved himself so popular that the new game in the series focused on his species, expanding on their behavior and traits, and even appeared in the 1993 live-action movie.

The character has appeared in most of the spin-off games as a playable character, including the sports games plus the Super Smash series. He has also appeared in animated series and comics, making him one of the most recognizable characters in the franchise, and made a (somewhat) cameo in the post-credits scene of the animated film.

So, Happy Birthday, Little Guy, and we’ll see if you gain any attack from eating the birthday cake… Then again, try not to eat it all yourself.
