The Rotting Scars

Before I realised my love of drawing, I learned a little about painting from my beautiful mother. This painting is from 2022. I decided to revisit it and play with it digitally. It used to be an abstract piece inspired by Berserk, specifically, Griffith's hawk connotations... That can still be seen in the feather-like strokes that form the painted eyelashes. 💜

These days, this artwork means something different and deeper to me. Some memories are painted over in black, but most aren't. The rot inside still isn't worth it. After all these growing pains, I still haven't crystallised. The future is still more important than old grudges, however justified they may be. ❤️‍🩹
