Pencil on paper

Drawing of my girlfriend throwing her hair back out of the water to form a Fibonacci spiral

This drawing taught me allot about patience. It took around 280 intense hours over 5 months

After this drawing a slight obsession with the Fibonacci spiral was awakened.

I hope you enjoy it...

Your inspiration for this piece is a first for me. Your lighting is beautiful where the water begins to seperate on the black. However I am kinda lost when is comes to the light source. Is it coming from the upper left--in front of your girlfriend's face while the reflecting light is bouncing off the water? Or is it coming from behind you? I ask because the water that is covering her face seems to have a lot of light and reflecting light and less shadow and cast shadow making it appear as one bubble. Overall, this is a masterpiece.

Hi CRWardenArt

Thank you for taking the time to look and critique my work. The light source in my reference image was natural light on a very sunny day so I imagine it illuminated the water and caused multiple reflections.

This is the first time I have been absolutely stunned in to a sense of silence in a very long time by the hands of a piece of art.

Personally I have never seen someone attempt to draw something like this, intricate spirals of water produced by a swish of long hair that being. This creates such impact for what reason I am not sure, I think it is because it is so simple yet complicated, an everyday action that shows so much beauty.

This is such a technically amazing piece, that I think most can already see that it is literally perfect. The shadows are strong and striking contrasting brilliantly with the light reflective water. The way the water looks to move is stunning...

I can't express how spectacular this piece really is... You deserve much recognition and I hope you continue this amazing work... Beautiful, simply beautiful.

This is just so magnificent! I know it says this is a drawing, but it CAN'T be! It's so realistic, looks just like a photograph. I love all the little details that you drawled while making this drawing. Even though there's not a lot of colors in this, it is still very good. I love the way that you get a clear image of this, and that it's not blurry or anything. I think you did very well on this, along with a lot of other things in your gallery. Once again, this is magnificent and beautiful. You really deserved this daily deviation.
