The Ducktales 2017 reboot has aired its series finale. They managed to introduce April, May and June into the continuity by revealing Webby was April all along. Among other things. This is the last animated show of its kind. I can still smell the sunlight from a Saturday summer afternoon just by watching it. This is a franchise that's made from almost nothing but pop culture since the 60's and before that. A character is based off of Ebeneezer Scrooge. Darkwing Duck is a riff of Batman. Its just silly and childish and reminds you what it was like to be a small child not knowing how the world worked so you didn't know what was impossible yet. Like all good things, they have to end. That's what makes them precious. But who knows? Maybe within this current generation, I'll still see one more animated show that was made with love instead of ideological agenda in mind.
