Beautiful rock line, and the clouds look neat, too.

WOOW Beautiful view

Beautiful vista! The title had me wondering if this was a section of an ancient human constructed fortification, but it seems to be a natural ridge / exposed fault line in the mountainous landscape.

jonathanjessup's avatar

Yes it does look like an ancient wall or construction. It's an eroded anticline, or 'windward' cliff. Thank you!!

Thanks for the feedback. I looked up 'eroded anticline' for further insight:

Cheers!
