Description
Ningxia is the autonomous region of the Muslim Hui people in north-central China. The area is one and a half times the size of the Netherlands but comparatively very sparsely populated. The area is climatically continental-moderate and has little rainfall.
Historically, the landscape has always been an area of influence of nomadic peoples and the sinnitic civilizations. Islam became more important here after the Mongol conquest, which attracted many Muslim Central Asian settlers to the region. However, the culture remained close to mainland China.
From 1912 to 1949, the Ma clique (allies of the Kuomintang) administered this region and called it an "autonomous sultanate".
As far as the completeness and perfect correctness of my maps is concerned, I do not assume any responsibility. In case of minor errors please inform me by a comment.

Good work about a very curious place. They have women imams and women mosques.
