"This used to be real estate,
Now it's only fields and trees
Where, where is the town?
Now, it's nothing but flowers!

The highways and cars
Were sacrificed for agriculture
I thought that we'd start over,
But I guess I was wrong...

Once there were parking lots,
Now it's a peaceful oasis

This was a Pizza Hut,
Now it's all covered with daisies

I miss the honky tonks,
Dairy Queens and 7-Elevens

And as things fell apart,
Nobody paid much attention!"

-Talking Heads, "(Nothing But) Flowers" (1988)

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so they set up aSPECIALROOM to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death.

Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes u will have the best day of ur life tomorrow. u will either get kissed or asked out, if u break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room tonight. in 53 mins someone will say i love you or im SORRY

Everything about this is amazing but what stands out to me (and it's silly because it looks like one of the simplest things in this piece) is the plant in the foreground. I love how it really gives depth to it all. This is very inspiring.

Nice.
Maybe add collapsing buildings into the drawing as well? A few missing chunks of a building might add more visual appeal to your artwork

Honestly, i looks like a fallen kingdom that holds many secrets to behold and look about in, until the kingdom collapses due to old age, allowing a new kingdom to prosper in it's place. But just a ruined Hong Kong is cool aswell

My favorite part about this is that I had to read the title to figure out that this was a ruined city. At first glance, it only looked like a fantasy world, but of course after revieweing the title, I can see that you chose to depict it in that way with the green growing over the buildings. Seeing this is bittersweet...it's like nature will always live, and it dominates and grows over the fallible things that man creates--sky scrapers and concrete jungles. It disturbs, but never interrupts. The lighting on this is also nice. It's like the sun has rose another day and shines as it has always shined for its Nature. And the buildings are only there, standing in the way. It's very deep, and trippy (lol). (in a good way). Beautiful work witha  deep message.

Not bad at all. Don't be so hard on yourself. Bit too homogenic, needs more foreground like the bottom right, needs something in the middle ground that catches the eye etc.

Awesome work!   Could be the future too....looks to be roughly 50-75 years after some sort of holocaust.  Viral, nuclear, perhaps even total worldwide economic and civil collapse.  I doubt the survivors in this world would have any idea what they were looking at, what the structures, road signs, car remains, etc. were for.  No clue as to the world that once was.  I love art like this, it reminds me of the short story by Stephen Vincent Benet' called "By the Waters of Babylon" that I read probably for the first time back in the mid to late 1980's and has left an impression on me ever since.

Not bad (I have a fondness for "ruined city" art).  If you're not happy, then perhaps moving close enough to see the foliage in more detail might be a direction.

one set of eyes can only take in so much information, helps if there is a little more play as I scroll across the image, I also made a large canvas but again my eye goes to the water and to the mountiantops, hardly see the geometry which is deliberately obfuscated~
img00.deviantart.net/838c/i/20…

took too long for what I got out of it, still one must feel where the eye goes throughout the Large canvas...some say that only LARGE canvii, an artist will be taken seriously, I say it's a matter of expression~
