Okay! Time to make it official I guess!
Yup, I am here-by making myself available for commissions on an occasional basis - I am still a 'full time' student, and real-life obviously takes precedence in ALL cases. To compensate for the fact that I can never really make any guarantees in regards to turn-around times, I will be start off my rates relatively low, at least until (and unless) demand indicates that raising the prices would be reasonable.
To start off with, I'm going to (mostly) focus on something that is somewhat of a 'speciality' for me - RWBY weapon designs! That isn't to say that is the sum total of the scope of commission I will take, just that anything beyond that will be assessed and priced on a case-by-case basis, and thus not be covered by the listings (and examples) I'm displaying here.
(As an example - I'm willing to take 'character reference sheet' commissions as well, but they would be rated to a different standard, and might include extra costs for extra details)
Anyway, on with the chart! All prices are in $US:BASIC SKETCH: $10ea
For those who are after 1 or more 'concepts', but are on a budget (or perhaps just need help getting started, but want to 'finish' the piece themselves). These pieces will all be hand-drawn, and provided as a .png (or .jpg or the like as desired).
EXTRAS: +$5 for a quick-colour, +$5 for each additional concept included in the piece (Eg: 2 different designs on the same sheet)
(Fully hand coloured, this is very nearly up to the next stage, but fully hand done - would probably have to charge a full $20 for this)
DIGITAL SKETCH (inc. flat colour): $20
For those who want something a bit more 'neat and tidy, and generally to a "finished" 2D standard, with full (but flat) colouring to as closely represent the final appearance as possible. Finished pieces will be provided as an image fill, with original adobe CC files if requested.
(Combination of 'full textured' and un-coloured - same price)
Rather than any 'extras' on this option, there is a simple 'step up' to the next level - If you have already paid the $20 for this level, you will only have to pay an extra $10 to 'upgrade', rather than the full third-tier price.HIGH DETAIL DIGITAL ('textured and shaded'): $30
Now we're talkin! This is about as "finished" as I can make (technically) 2D piece! I'll scour the halls of google image search, and find (free) texture samples, and using them, I'll give you something that looks like its made of actual materials rather than 'just' coloured, I'll even be blurring the line between 2D and 3D a bit by going through and shading all the seems and crevices and the like to help give everything a sense of depth. Like the previous 'tier', I will provide the final piece as a fully rendered out, high resolution image file (with the 'working' adobe files included if desired). Any annotations or the like (as in the second example below) are of course included.
(Even this bad-boy is filed as a 'WiP', because it was actually used as a reference itself! The finished product was actually made fully 3D and animated by a different artist!)
3D ANIMATED: $30-50
Where to after that? Well, this is the final 'tier' I'm prepared to offer, and it is something that I'm still practicing myself (So no examples to show - YET!). I'm only really including it here as a formality, with a much more variable price that is highly dependant on the complexity of the design and any 'transformations' it has.
The finished piece would be provided via a YouTube link and a fully rendered still image. 3DsMax, Photoshop, and any other working files can be included if requested.
(here is a link to something a bit more complicated again, this took about a month of class-work as part of my official studies, and is include it here only as 'proof' that I know how to work with 3DsMax:Black Knight Photoshoot
If you are interested in commissioning me for a piece, please send me a 'Note' here on DevArt, and we will discuss the project and the pricing privately that way. Once a plan is finalised, and a price set, I will provide you with my PayPal address and request and initial payment (generally 50% of the full finished price). I will provide in-progress updates (and WiP images) as appropriate, so you can request any changes. Once I am ready to complete the 'final' version of the piece, I will request the remainder of the payment. Once that final payment is received, I will finish the project and make any and all requested files ready for transfer (Generally via a 'google docs' or 'dropbox' link - Though I can send it direct E-mail too if you provide an address).
I *will* post the finished project on my own page, where I will state that it is a commission and provide a link to DevArt account you sent your initial 'note' through. But You will of course have FULL permission to post it on your own account (or anywhere else for that matter - groups, other sites, whatever), with the only requirement being that you not remove my watermark, and that you do provide a link back to me.
