At first sight you think: "It's not really original, even though the execution is perfect". But then, the longer you look, the more you like and appreciate this photograph.
The idea looks simple. It can be funny. But it's also multidimensional to me. I see the two opposites - the fire and a snowman. It's kind of a strange composition. But when we think of the image as a metaphor, we can find almost every comforting thought in it. That's why I think "Snowman vs the Flame" is an extraordinary, warm and so Christmas photograph that comforts and makes me think of good, calm winter evening accompanied by a cup of mulled wine and family.
I also love the background - it looks like a few suns or moons rising behind the trees - it makes the image look even more marvellous.

Thank you so much for the kind critique!

You read deeper into it than I did while setting it up, but I'm glad you found the metaphorical aspect... the desire for comfort, yet an inability to attain it. Sometimes such is the nature of life...and sometimes life grants your need. ;)

I hope you find your comforting winter evening this year, enjoying wine and family time!

Again, many thanks for the critique!
