Two characters from a manga I ship hard!
Some time ago, I was reading a Manga called Kamisama no Iutoori and Kamisama no Iutoori Ni. Both are about the same basic concept. A god decides to screw with humanity by trapping all the worlds high schoolers in a survival game made up of children's games. The first game was basically red-light-green-light with a Darama doll. The first series ws about the students at school while the sequel was about those who were absent for whatever reason.
The manga was... a ride. It was interesting in that you never really knew who would die cause literally anyone could. Characters who tell you their entire backstory and motivations will just die as soon as you turn the page while characters whose name you don't even know (and never do) survive til the bitter end. It's amazing. The best way to describe the manga's treatment of characters is 'everyone gets a death flag at the door'.
Now these two are the highlights of the second manga. Akashi (small guy) is the MC of the story and carry's it pretty well. He's pretty basic honestly. He's determined, fairly smart (or just quick on his feet) and ballsy when needed. He also has terrible luck with love interests. No one survives liking him other that Ushimitsu. It's not even a spoiler to say that since 96% percent of the cast is bound to die before 'the end'.
Ushimitsu (the tall dude) is the best thing about this manga. He single handedly kept people reading when they'd long since gotten bored. His devotion (obsession) with Akashi made every scene he's in a treasure. Ushimitsu is Akashi main bro and probably his best bet at a relationship (since everyone else keeps dying). Ushi is strong, suicidely brazen and ADORES Akashi. This is a man who will jump from a helicopter after holding up the pilot with a gun from the top of Tokyo Tower, JUST to get close to Akashi. Honestly, he's the best thing ever.
Their relationship is kind of weird though. At the beginning, Ushi despised Akashi (cause he hated everyone... kind of) but then fell for him. He openly and unashamedly confessed to Akashi multiple times and Akashi just ignored it. Ushi remains by Akashi's side, always supporting and backing him up in anything he does. He's like a adoring puppy when he's with Akashi.
