Sweet, dripping flavor, emotion coating your tongue after a long thirst, parched with lack of loving support. It’s like heaven after being crammed into hell. I drank from the glass, bit into a fruit from a tree of knowledge, forbidden and eye-opening.
Living the emotional void, you never think, you just do. Marriage was the pinnacle of the relationship and it wasn’t perfect. A lot of crap “hung on” in the way we got together, which was a bit salacious, and a story for another day, but suffice to say, I thought it would work. It was a failed marriage on her part, well, at least that’s what it looked like, and a lot of forbidden sexual encounters with her on my part.
