As far as level up tutorials go, this is one of the clearest tutorials I have seen in terms of direction.

This tutorial builds up on existing artistic foundations (i.e coherent lineart technique and knowledge of lighting) and offers some incisive techniques (like the 50 percent opacity for lineart.) for self-taught artists like myself. All the while, it strikes a nice balance between direction and detail, enough detail to be researched on, but not too much to obscure direction of art.

In summary, this is a helpful tutorial for artists looking to go to the next level! I enjoyed it thoroughly and I will be slowly taking on these new techniques, one at a time!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge to the world!

First off, you put together a lovely tutorial! Like the others have said it is very useful and explanatory so thank you so much!
I really like the colors you used, like making black hair and cool red accents.
I especially like the shadowing on the coral in her hair.

I would've never thought of using that stock photo for an underwater scene, and that was pretty original. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/t/t…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Thumbs Up"/>
I think the pose you chose to paint and your other details made a very sweet piece! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

I gave the Originality 3.5 stars just because there are many underwater scenes of women so the fish and star fish aren't new, but the coral and bracelet are nice and fresh. The stripes on her face are, too!

I think the fish is in a good pose and is positioned well by the lady and really the only thing I see to criticize is that I can't really tell how far it is away from her. My depth perception is telling me that it should be far away, but it's in front of her hair so it must be close. Maybe you could have less shadow on his belly? I'm not sure.

This is a great piece, as always, =sanguisGelidus! <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/i/m/i…" alt=":iconimhappyplz:" title="imhappyplz" />

As far as vision goes! This is a wonderfull and well thought out tutorial that will help both beginers, and newcomer's both, a great deal i would think. The instruction's are so simple and easy to unserstand that even the fish would be able to follow them <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r…" width="29" height="27" alt="" title="rofl"/>
As for originality i'm in favour of full marks because, as JJmyster22 said, there are many tutorial's on this subject but, it is the sheer simplistic and well presented accompaniment of the step by step art that makes this above many other's.
The technique i cannot falter as there is nothing to fault; it's all perfect (in my opinion anyway's <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>).
As for impact! Impact is about both the mental and visual effect something will give to a person. By what i have typed here you can tell that it had mental impact upon me, and though visually i like images to have a little more strength in colour this is enough to sustain rememberance in my (or anyone els'e for that matter) mind for some time...longer than the fishes mind at least <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l…" width="19" height="21" alt=":lmao:" title="Laughing my ass off!"/>
It get's a <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p…" width="15" height="16" alt=":+fav:" title="+fav"/> from me. Thankyou and well done <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c…" width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>!

Brilliant work! Thank you for making this lovely tutorial, it's very helpful!

Vision: Five stars! Everything is very clear and helpful, and the finishing result is fabulous!

Originality: Three and a half stars, I've seen many tutorials for underwater themed drawings, but this one is better than a lot to them I have seen.

Technique: Four and a half stars, wonderful! The half star is taken off just in name of the people who aren't into this style.

Impact: Four stars, I wouldn't exactly look at this in overview and just be like "Wow!" but on closer look, it does have a lot of impact! There's a lot to learn from this!

Overall this is wonderful, thank you thank you. This is a wonderful step by step and I shall be trying it out myself soon. Thank you for this fantastic contribution!
