We are Three, We are One(1998)

Movie about a vocal group called the III, which is made up of sisters Sharon, Caryn, and Erin Tripler, played by real life identical triplets Sharon, Caryn, and Erin Scott. What makes these sisters unique isn't that they're identical triplets, but the fact they're conjoined, with Sharon and Caryn joined at the buttocks, while Caryn and Erin are joined at the abdomen. When the movie was released, fans and critics noted the movie had the same premise as the TV show Trio of One, which was still on the air and about to begin its fifth and final season when this movie was released in August 1998.

TRIVIA

1. Sharon and Caryn being joined at the buttocks was never explained.

2. Caryn Tripler admits this was her best and most enjoyable experience doing a movie, since as a child, she often wished she and either Sharon or Erin were Siamese twins with her, and she got to play Siamese twins with both.

3. The film received one Academy Award nomination, for Best Makeup.

4. Producers gave the three a joint submission for nomination for Best Actress for the 1998 Academy Awards, however, they ultimately were not nominated.
