19K ViewsThe Line It Is Drawn #106 for 9/13/12: Comic Book Cover Homages! I chose the suggestion of X-Men #141 as a parody of DC's new 52. You can see the original cover by John Byrne & Terry Austin here: [link]
I should also note that the heads in the corner box are not by me, but were done by the great Neal Adams for DC Comics in the 1970s.
And check out all the other great cover homages at the Line It Is Drawn here: [link]

Bottom right...
I imagine the AnimeEsque Starfire from the tv Teen Titans looking at her comics going "Make her stop! Make them Stop! That's not meeeeeeeeee!" and crying like mad
IMO there was only the new Teen Titans on TV, old ones were sell out shills for Ray-Gunn's expansion of the War on (some) Drugs...

Actually, it's the Starfire from the TV show who is the imposter. If you want to see her original character, you'll have to go back to the Wolfman/Perez Teen Titans #1.
She presents more of an alien perspective of Earth Taboo's and Customs. Far smarter than detractors want to claim, she was also light-years from the bimbo that some modern writers and the New 52 tried to make her. The TV version was a very watered down version of her designed only to appeal to a children's audience rather than her actual character.
