Happy Birthday Miucina

Today marks the first anniversary of my mushroom daughter, Miucina! So for her first birthday I've designed a guardian for her: Alder!

Alder is an elmsman - a species of long lived tree folk with a rich history of plant care. Alder's primary responsibility is a big ol' colony tree. He found Miucina growing on its roots, so now she is his responsibility too. Alder has no idea how to raise a child. Things are going to be great.


I've retconned Miucina's backstory maybe 2 times now, and I might do it again, but whatever! As with this picture, I've learned that the longer I spend worrying about Making Things Just Right, the more Nothing Gets Done will happen, so I've decided to just blunder forward and not care about the fact that the sunlight is hitting almost everything in this picture from a different angle.

I have no idea what Miucina is so upset about.
