Zombie Hunter Shotgun by JohnsonArmsProps Zombie Hunter Shotgun by JohnsonArmsProps
Here's a Nerf Sledgefire that I chopped and filled a bit to make it unique.  The grip was filled with epoxy clay and the front light is mounted on a piece of nerf rail that I salvaged from another project.   Everything still functions and I hope it'll make a great prop for someone's zombie hunter or Fallout cosplay (DISCLAIMER: Do not use against real zombies!)  :)

This is absolutely gorgeous. I've been hunting for a design like this. I'm sure you've sold this one, but this has given me inspiration on how to go about my own design. Awesome work.

Hi, I'm working on the same model and really dislike the grip, but filling the open space in the back with epoxy seems worrysome to me if I wanted to open the weapon up again. Is that still possible?

Another master work! What primer do you use? Do you use a varnish on top?

Great job! This blaster looks way better sans the stock.

Very nice!
Did you use a clear coat on the paint?

I did indeed.  It was a semi-gloss which kept the blaster from being too shiny.  I'm glad you like how it came out, thank you!

Wow, those new Zombie Strike guns do clean up nicely!  Excellent colors on this... I prefer these colors to the typical black or drab we see on most paint jobs.  This is wonderful stuff.

Wow. How did you make this. This is totally AWSOME!!!!
Like, what tools and materials did you use?
How long did it take you?
How did you learn to make incredible weapons, i mean guns, like these?
Keep up with the amazing work! :) :D

This was actually a Nerf gun when (I suppose it still is for the most part!).  What I did was fill in some of the more cartoonish details and cut off the stock.  It just looked better in my mind as a pistol grip shotgun. The material I used the most was epoxy putty and bondo and then a lot of layers of paint :)

It looks kind of like a Jakobs shotgun from Borderlands 2

Filling the grip to change the balance...can't say I've heard of that one before, good idea! It also makes it a bit stronger for those more tense firefight, eh? A nice simple gun with one purpose, I like that~

It was honestly more about making the chopped end look more finished, but it did add a little bit of weight and the grip definitely feels more solid :)
