Description
After days have passed and the family matter has since been resolved, the Wolverine is accepted into the Loud family as a genuine member. She resolved things with her alternate human counterpart while in the hospital before going home. As a consequence, Lincoln suggests that the mutant act as a substitute for Lynn while she recovers. As much as the idea of taking the place of that obnoxious, pretentious jock with an obsession for something as meaningless as sports, distasteful, the Wolverine felt obligated to do so, whether the family forces her or not. She has to wear her counterpart's sports jersey, a long-sleeved white and red shirt with a number 1 on it, shorts, long socks, and sneakers. This also meant going back to the place where her mutant powers manifested; Middle school. As much as it brings chills down the spine, she has to swallow that pride and get with it.
The first thing Lincoln does to get his alternate timeline sister to fit into her new persona is to hang out at Burpin' Burger, Lynn's favorite fast food joint, which the Wolverine finds mediocre; She'd rather hang out in the real joints, speakeasies, where she can enjoy a nice bottle of whiskey and hard liquor. Unfortunately for Lincoln, he didn't take into account that Lynn had friends who share the same interests as her, and one of them, Margo Roberts, is coming to greet what she thought is her best friend. Things get a little awkward from here, as when the guy who manages the counter tells her about not allowing smoking in the place, the Wolverine shoos him with profanity. She had brought her cigar around under Lincoln's nose, and can't really help herself.
