"Got a lot of holes in the desert... and a lot of problems are buried in those holes. Except you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half hour or 45 minutes of diggin'. And who knows who's gonna be comin' along in that time? Before you know it, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all f**kin' night."
Mobster Lynn Santoro calls for casino manager Benny "Ace" Rothstein out on a meeting in the desert, where no wiretaps, surveillance, or anything the Feds will do to incriminate them. The bosses back home found a problem with Ace for his unnecessarily over-the-top spectacles he set up just to spite the court and Gaming Comission for denying Benny his gaming license, attracting unwanted heat and media noise. That isn't to say Lynn wasn't involved in disheveling his chances at finally being in charge of the Casino, her reckless strong-arming and desire for independence also attracted that same heat from the Feds.
As "luck" would have it, Ace hoped the meeting would go without some problem to be buried in a hole in the desert, and hopefully, he isn't part of the problem.
