I like how he's unshaven and the ragged look of his clothes. Makes it more realistic.

Love so much, and very glad to permit the use in my book. He´s my perfect Angus. If he had blue eyes i´ll certainly die...

Its a great work, good colors and lights.
Only one thing, templars didnt have long hair, all templar had short hair and long beard. They consider that only women can have long hair. Just that

Hi John! Nice ilustration. There is a medieval fest coming soon here in Chile and nobody has done a promotional ilustration for the fest. Its an noncomercial cultural event with vikings, romans, templars and celts. Could I use this image to put some information on it and promote de fest? The event is called "IV Encuentro Medieval de Santiego".
I will put credits on it with a link to your deviantart or any link you like.

Its a cover illustration right? Is there enough space for the title and the other text? Its a great image, just looking at it, I wonder if there's quite enough blank space that the details in the image don't get lost under a letter.

I cannot give you a critic for thic because I really love the result. With the lighter charas and details in the backround the picture looks "deep" also the million of details on sword, clothes and arms (the skin looks so real...) it comes out to an amazing picture
