Description
I hope this is of some artistic merit!
It’s my new JMK’s Treasure slot machine game. I’ve been programming it on my Power Mac since around the 6th of January. Although I did write some other programs in Windows prior to that to generate the animated stuff on the title screen.
Anyhoo, like my other Mac programs, it should run from about Mac OS X Jaguar (maybe earlier) up to Mac OS X Snow Leopard (with Rosetta installed). I’d probably recommend a 1 GHz G4 CPU or up, if you still have a Mac of that age.
(The programming language I have does not make programs with Intel machine code, so please don’t ask.) You can download the game here.
Win virtual money when you get 3 items matching on the centre row. If you get 3 gold bars on the top or bottom rows, you will get ¼ of the default jackpot amount × what you bet. Bet from $1 to $50. You start with $40, and a jackpot of $1000, which gets added onto when you bet. You can also go into debt with a negative “score.”
Further information is in the game and the Read Me file.
This is my first slot machine game since a dodgy old thing I wrote in QBASIC years ago, so I hope you like it. It’s slightly glitchy with the symbol alignment sometimes, but it tends to correct itself. I think I have a better idea planned if I do a different version later on. Maybe.
