I researched some images and found this one [link] but couldn't bring myself to paint it. Had to sleep on it and then attacked it with an unconventional brush, very happy with the results though, except for the background.

I researched some images and found this one [link] but couldn't bring myself to paint it. Had to sleep on it and then attacked it with an unconventional brush, very happy with the results though, except for the background.
Very dynamic and lively. What kind of brush was it?
if you see at the bottom, it was a geometric brush, and it's width was set to random, so it shot out mostly narrow slivers at random angles, great for the feathers, not so good for rendering form, but kept me from zooming in too much
