Mortal Kombat - Scorpion - Deception

Scorpion was hell bent on chasing down the Killer of his Family and Clan, Quan Chi. Discovering that Quan Chi was allied with Shang t'sung, Scorpion made his way into Outworld to raid the Palace alone. Knowing he could not walk in through the Palace gates, Scorpion's Ninja skills proved useful by allowing him to sneak away and gain entrance through a secret underground tunnel. Making his way through the lower levels of the Palace, he encountered two Oni feasting on the bodies of the victims who had their souls taken and trapped within the Husk's of the Dragon King's Undead Army.

However, these Oni were sensitive to the smell of the living and they much prefered fresh prey. They attacked the Ninja, which was even a surprise to him. Scorpion faught the two Oni, however, they stood their ground and were gaining the upper hand. Could Scorpion's quest come to an end, so close to the finish?

It turns out the Elder Gods had other plans. As the Oni began to tear at Scorpion's body, the well of Souls began to pull at his body and he was swiftly pulled away from the Demons. Before Scorpion could realize what had happened, he was standing before the Elder Gods. "Become our Champion, and we shall reward you with what you desire." Their voices echoed as one. Scorpion's desire always has been to see his Family and Clan alive once more. Understanding the greater threat that was looming over the Realms, with Quan Chi and Shang T'sung having been killed by the Dragon King, Onaga. His Vengeance was settled and so he accepted the mission set by the Elder Gods. The Dragon King must Die.
