Thank you, I wasn't happy with some of my volumetric light tests in DAZ Studio so I went back to basics, one light, something to shine it through and something to shine it on.  Then I liked the idea of the shadows coming to life ;) (Wink)

how did you get the atmosphere? I always understood that Daz fogs used planes to simulate this effect but that's like real dust and smoke. I suppose that's 'volumetric'. It must eat memory for breakfast?

I used AtmoCam for Iray. It doesn't take much memory, but it does add so much to the render time because it has to render out all the particles ;)
