Lense Flare on Nepean River

Random shot of the Nepean River in Penrith, NSW, Australia.

I was trying to get a closer look at the lovely bird in the photo, and captured much more than I was expecting. When I saw the image for the first time, I was a little disapointed in the visibility of the bird - but then I noted the lovely clarity of the sky and clouds reflection in the water. It gives such a strong depth to the image.

I was actually balancing on one leg on a very slippery (and unstable) fallen tree-branch/root system while taking this shot. I nearly fell in the sludge numerous times, but it was totally worth it to capture this photo.

It really blew me away, and everything is totally natural, inc the lovely lense flare - no alterations (except the border, but hey).

I hope you enjoy it too!
