The apo-plugins team has just made our first plugin pack release for Apophysis.  There are 15 new never before released plugins and 3 plugins from unofficial Apophysis hacks.

You can find the plugins over on sourceforge download page.  Make sure you download the "bin" file and extract it into your Apophysis Plugins folder.

Some help documentation will soon (I promise :)) be on the project wiki page.  If you need help please leave a message in this journal or on the apo-plugins Help Forum.

Journal Amendments:
September 18: There was some strange compile error which caused split.dll to not load properly.  I've uploaded a new release on sourceforge.  The only difference is split.dll.  The other plugins and the sourcecode are identical.  I have no idea what happened  Sorry about that.

Oh sorry, your previous comment must be on the next page in my message centre by now

I have no idea what is causing the problem. I've messed around and we'll see how things go in the next release.

Thanks Joel.... I guess I can live without for now - not that I think it is an issue but I run XP through Parallels on Mac OS X. As others are having the problem too I doubt this has any bearing on things at all....

I run xp through vmware on Ubuntu Linux x64. It works for me :) It seems fairly random who is works for and who it doesn't.

Tried The Plugzzz in 205b2-z-c, 206bz-c and 206c

Lazy Susan is exactly that alright won't load on any of them - Throws error messages on the latter 2.

Thanks again Joel - Hope a fix for Lazy Susan comes soon - looks good and was really the reason I downloaded the Plug-ins having seen Claire and Gittes' efforts

Joel - Just a thought..Could this be OS dependent? I am hearing from one or two who are not having problems with Lazysusan that they're on Vista...

Will I ever upgrade to Vista - Not a Snowballs chance....... I want less windows not more.....

Heyo, is there a step I am missing as far as loading the dll's are concerned?

I have them hanging out all extracted in my apo plugins folder, but no new variations have appeared in my transform window.

I didn't see any help stuff on the wiki.

Are you sure you downloaded the zipfile with "bin" in the name. The "src" one is the source code.

I have double checked and downloaded the bin. I have compiled my own dll's before, but I have zero clue how the code works in apo.

Do I need to run something to install them so to speak and register them on my machine(regsrv32)?

I am using apo2.06c

I keep getting the impression that all the user needs to download the DLL's and open apo2.06c. Is this correct?

You don't need to register anything. Make sure you've got a folder called "Plugins" (case sensitive) in the same directory as your Apophysis executable. Make sure that you've got the plugin folder where the executable is, not just a link to the executable. The dlls go in the Plugins folder.

Ok, I thought it was Apophysis Plugins.

Thanks Joel for the assistance, as soon as I made a folder called Plugins it worked.

Joel, I just downloaded it again and loaded it with 2.06c. Everything loads except the lazysusan plugin. I think I'm not the only one having trouble with it. Thanks for the pack! New toys!

I tried those out. I was able to load Lazy Susan into 2.06c. (Z version's a touch too unstable for me, so I tend to just load all the plugins available in Z into the 2.06c version)

I also got the split.dll error, which was fixed by simply taking that plugin out, and letting the prior split just take over.

Unless those two are identical, is there any reason to keep the new split?

You're on your own with unofficial apo hacks, but the split plugin should work the same as the Z+ split. I've made another release on sourceforge that should fix the split problem if you want to use the official apophysis.

Of course, I'm getting your re-release anyways becuase I know fully well that someday later I might just use split for something. :D

Okay. I'll do that. These days I don't really see a use for split, so it's not a real problem. However, I tested and everything else in your release works.

I'm also unable to load lazy suzan.
I was also very impressed by Khan71's work with this variation, and would love to be able to give it a try!

Downloaded the "New Version"
of the plugins.
Both 2.06c and zplus would not load "Lazy Susan"...

2.06bz+ went into a continuous
loop with an "Access Violation"...

Had to re-boot with Apo still
running.
Deleted all plugin folders and
all is well...

After seeing Khan71 work with
the lazy susan,I was all stoked
up to try it...

What a shame...

I suggest using the official apophysis. LazySusan has baffled me. It works on my machine, so it is hard to debug! I'll try to figure it out.

I do have both versions on my computer.
Do you think I should delete the 2.06bz+?

Thank you for your continued support in this matter.
