A new version apo-plugins has been released to sourceforge!  You can find the download here.  Make sure you grab the file with "bin" in the name.

New variations:
    • butterfly
    • curve
    • edisc
    • escher
    • loonie
    • scry

Other changes:
    • lazysusan
        ‣ new lazysusan_x and lazysusan_y parameters.
        ‣ Still 100% backward compatible with previous releases ;)

Check the readme file for a few more technical details of changes.

The problem surrounding the lazysusan and split plugins seems to have been resolved.  If anyone has any problems with these or any other plugins please let me know about it here.  I'm sorry if you were unable to get lazysusan working previously.  I still don't know why that happened :(

Here's a really dumb question. Where the heck do I extract them to?

Make a folder called "Plugins" (sans quotes, case sensitive) in the same location as your Apophysis executable (not the link; the executable). Put the DLLs in the Plugins folder.

Sorry for asking a dumb question...but I'm a blonde....Erm...which version of apo is this for the normal one or the 3D hack?

This works in Apophysis 2.06c or the 3D hack. If you are using the 3D hack then make sure you delete droste.dll. It was not supposed to be released. It is similar to escher, but uses different variables. It will crash the 3D hack because it is old :). You may have downloaded it without this file (I replaced the zip file on sourceforge yesterday with a new one without drotse).

they seem to work for 2.06 but not for the 3D hack for me.
Do I need a seperate plugin folder for the hack?

You need to delete drotse. It was just test code that I forgot to delete . It doesn't work with the 3d hack. The plugin escher should be used instead of drotse. Sorry about that! (The download on sourceforge no longer includes drotse.dll)

Did you download the Source files instead of the Binary files? Did you restart Apophysis? Have you exceeded the 30 plugin limit?

Are you sure you've got the correct Plugins folder? If you're loading a different apo executable then it could cause this problem :)

haha, yes was looking in wrong folder, oooops!

Yes I have done all that? When you mean 'restart Apophysis' do you mean to just open it up from closed? I know this is going to be something simple..Aaarghhh

Yes, shut it down and start is back up again. Apo loads the plugins at startup, so if you put them there after it is open it doesn't load them

Oh no... that was supposed to be deleted. It is the same as escher, but with different variables. Use escher instead.

Oh noes! :ohnoes:

The *only* new one that is working for me is the revised lazysusan! If any or all of the others are in the Plugins folder I get this:

Access violation at address 004BFDF6 in module 'Apophysis206_3Dhack.exe'. Read of address 00000041.

Any suggestions?

All of the others are working fine, including those by ~cyberxaos and non-conflicting ones by ~Lu-Kout

I tried the plugin pack with the 3d hack and i gotsome errors too :( I got it working by removing the Droste plugin. It wasn't supposed to be in the pack - it is the same as Escher

There seems to be a conflict with other plugins. Try removing the other plugins you have and run just the new plugin pack

Are you likely to be able to resolve the conflict? I like using the 3D hack and it would be good to be able to use the new plugins with it.

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, I didn't have any luck trying that BUT I have got all your new plugins working in the 3D hack along with *Zueuk's "old variation julia" which is good for me :D

I've been playing about with the new plugins but so far haven't achieved anything worth looking at. What would be really helpful - for all of us who aren't as gifted as you and your brother :) would be parameter sets - say one for each plugin - showing us what effect can be achieved and what combination of variations to try. When it's difficult to achieve anything after a fair amount of trying it takes all the fun out of it and it becomes a bit boring. Any chance :please::pray:

Thanks. Can't wait to try these out.

I just got my system reinstalled/reformatted, and a new HD put in (my old one was ANCIENT, as in six years old and continuously used to death) - so these new plugins came at the perfect time. I've just done two fresh installs of Apo/Apo3D. :D
