One of the most unique and photorealistic fractals I've seen so far...:) I love the pebble-like textures and the gradient totally reminds me of some kind of mountain river's glass-clean water and these are really amazing together^^ Congrats:) Favd :)

OK, you boggled me. *wry grin*

I have zero idea how this could be done in Apo. It's clear I've got a buttload of learning and trial to get to....

Thanks for the motivation!

I just wanted to say this is amazing! At first look, I was immediately reminded of polished semi-precious stones. Then, on looking at it again, it's almost got a pen-and-ink feel to it, like a well drawn comic. I do have to agree with a few others, though, in that I think it would look better in a non-vertical format. :)

If you've seen my other account, you know I'm into Photography, and macro photography is one of my favorite genres of art. This reminds me so much of some kind of cellular structure or small reptilian eggs, something very odd.

I love the details and the overwhelmingly surreal mood of the entire image, I just feel like I am being swept into something, which fits the title of this piece. ;)

The piece just gives me a whole sense of "where am I? What is this? And how the hell did I get here?"

Great stuff Joel.

Thanks Matt. I took a look at your photo account and gawked at some of the cars you've captured. Personally I like landscape photography. Never done it much though. I watch more landscape/nature photographers than fractal artists! :O_o:

I love landscape photography, but I never seem to have the drive to get out and do nature shots. I've got a good location, being near the beach and all, but sadly my camera is in need of a big cleaning before I can go out and take photos again. I need some motivation! =D

:jawdrop:Quite striking Joel, you're are doing amazing things with the 3D hack....I agree with Nestalgica that this would look better in a landscape ratio but I will disagree with misterxz, the choice of monochromatic colors is perfect, imho. :)
