That's just unpatriotic. You have the right to mock national heroes at ceremonies in their honor if you want to, of course, but just because you can make yourself look like a total plot hole, it doesn't mean you ought to.

For that matter, you have the right to invoke narrative causality to doom yourself to, sooner or later, placing your life fully in the hooves of a pony you despise, but I wouldn't really recommend that either.
