' In this exhilarating opus, Mr Jusko has managed the near impossible : using a large pallet of colors, he manages to maintain the cohesiveness necessary that prevents the vivid colors from clashing, no small feat . The intricate design , the complex tapestry of superior comic art, the turbulent movement executed by a true Master."

Wow, what do I say to THAT?? Thank you!!!!  A lot of thought did go in to balancing out the piece with the sizes, colors and values of the different characters. Thanks so much for noticing! Means a lot!

You, Mr Jusko, are the Man . One could study that piece for all kinds of reasons : wondering at which point to veer away from the underpainting , muted darks and lights, the linear perspective and foreshortening of the figures, the reflected lights, the dynamic tonal values, and how they serve to support the figures in the forefront, and further back. AND : how to make such a diverse pallet of varying colors com;event each other......Pretty much ALL of your work bears a great deal of scrutiny, as well as rally LOOKING at it . and of course, THAT changes over time as the eye becomes more and more critical and discerning for those reflected light and .....the list could go on and on for what to look for in your seminal work.

I love the "war face" you gave Cap and I especially love the details you gave everyone, especially Rocket Raccoon and his gear.

I think the only critique I have is you made Mile Morales/Spider-Man a taller, thicker and bigger than he's usually portrayed but it's pretty minor thing compared to all the awesome eye candy in the rest of this piece. :)

I know what you mean, I had to do an air battle scene between a bunch of MASK vehicles and just trying to get the crazy angles, weapons and pilots right was maddening. :XD:

No problem :handshake:

The fun for me is always in painting the details.

I've not seen Captain Britain before, but I feel like he's about to say, "You call that a punch? Let me show you how we do it in the home counties, Yank!" =p

It was a natural decision to pit them against each other. He started as a member of Alpha Flight

Indeed, he's been one of my favorites since I was a kid. My dad use to tell me about his first fight with the hulk when I was a kid, and those tales just kind of stuck with me. He's been around since Marvel was even called Marvel, but they treat him like a second rate character. Shame :(  I've been working on a fan comic off and on that revamps his character. My plan is to finish it by the end of the year, so I'll post it then.

You're welcome Joe. First met your work on Savage Sword of Conan. Been a fan ever since. You truly are an inspiration.
