Painting for an exclusive trading card celebrating the 100th anniversary of Edgar Rice Burroughs' Mars series. The card will be available at the inaugural Pop Art Con on June 10th. The Philadelphia show is produced by Roxanne & Harris Toser, publishers of Non Sport Update magazine.

This may be my consummate Mars painting. I added a couple of inches to the top of the painting in the event I ever want to use it as an art book cover (which is more than probable).

beautiful style...makes me nostalgic as these remind me of the style of art I grew up loving in the 80's for movie posters and comics

Just beautiful, love the colors. It amazes me how you can get the soft edges and smooth color transitions with just dry brushing. Take care and thanks for the inspiration.

Such a classical look this reminds me of the pulp covers fro the golden age. Edgar Rice Burroughs and Frank Frazetta would be proud of this.
