Hi Joe, quick question: Is this media acrylic or oil? If it is acrylic, how do you manage to paint a solid picture over the excess painted areas? For example the smaller painting of Jeannie? :)

Why do you always paint the background first?

I find it easier to balance the palette and paint the figures into an already established color scheme. Just how I choose to work. Doesn't make right, just right for me. :-)
