Larger and color versions are on Patreon. Maybe it's wrong to post this here, today, but I just want to. There's something in this picture that seems powerful to me. I think it's beautiful, and I want people to see it. I don't know. Didn't want it hidden away.
I draw heroines. Every central protagonist in every long-term comic I've ever published has been a woman. It cuts me to know that each of them, if they lived in this reality, would now have less power, less freedom, as a myopic sliver of society congratulates itself for villainy.

It was absolutely not wrong to post this. In the face of tyranny, it is never wrong to post things that show hope and life and love, that fly in the face of what the tyrants desire.
Do not hide away. Let your voice be heard - and if not your literal voice, then your art, your views that differ from that of the oppressors, you smile, your joy, your hope. These are the things that can help us get through this, help us strip evil of its power, and bring about the change that we truly need.
This is how we keep our power even in the darkest times. Never stop that striving.
