I spent six years learning at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, and have been publishing my webcomic (Zebra Girl) since 2000. I don't drink, smoke, eat meat, or do drugs, and yet I remain worthy of pity. Then again, that might go without saying.
Oh, yeah, I blocked you. Sorry, I get tired of repeating myself to no effect.
But once more, yes, undocumented immigrants really do pay taxes, and neither the quality of the job nor the "gray market" changes that.
In fact, they pay a lot. I may have mentioned this earlier, but in 2022, some estimates say they paid nearly $100 billion in federal, state, and local taxes.
Immigrants of every legal status are required to pay the same taxes as citizens. Income and payroll taxes are deducted from their wages. If they purchase homes, or goods and services, they pay local and state property or sales tax like everyone else.
All of this is readily verifiable.
